To vote in the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) election, you had to become a member before 11:59 pm (midnight) in your time zone on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. We are now past that limit and joining the party now does not permit you to vote on May 27, 2017.
Many thanks to everyone who joined our cause, we commend you for your action! Hopefully there are enough of us to avoid the worst candidates and keep the alt-right at bay.
What do we do now?
If you joined recently, you should receive your CPC membership card by Canada Post within two weeks. If you do not, please contact the CPC at 1-866-808-8407 and inform them it has not arrived. You need this card to vote!
The next big step for members who joined our cause and received their CPC membership will be making sure you receive your ballot by Canada Post starting Friday, April 28, 2017. You will need this ballot to vote! We will send reminders to make sure you don’t miss it.
Actually voting will require you to return your completed ballot by Canada Post with your photo identification and membership number before May 26, 2017.
Tolerable Opposition will continue to report on the best and worst candidates and commits to keeping you informed about the CPC leadership election.
